Ambulance attendants

Since 2017 we have been working with partners in Mongolia to develop a sustainable Emergency Medical Service (EMS) System based on the country’s needs, resources and context.

The existing EMS system in Mongolia is staffed by highly dedicated doctors, nurses and drivers (ambulance attendants).

The Ambulance Attendant program provides 4-days of hands-on training for ambulance drivers and first responders to enable them to support the ambulance doctors and nurses on emergency scenes. This includes the Ulaanbaatar City Ambulance Center, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) fire and rescue professionals, and Mongolian Armed Forces ambulance staff who provide civilian ambulance services in Mongolia.
